FLOWER UNIT MINISTRY

Who we are:
People who desire to work with and care for flowers and plants of the
church.
What we do:
Maintain plants and flowers inside as well as outside the church and
order flowers for funerals. Also, decorate the sanctuary for holiday
seasons.
GOLDEN GUYS & GALS MINISTRY
Sister Genevieve Jackson, Chair
Who we are:
Members who are 60 years of age and older.
What we do:
We recognize and honor annually, all members who are over the age
of 60.
HEALTH & WELLNESS MINISTRY
Sister Myrtle Carter, Chair
Who we are:
Those who wish to share and supply members with tools necessary
to maintain or move toward a healthier physical life-style.
What we do:
ellowship through exercise, organize health and wellness related
affairs for the membership, etc.
HERITAGE DAY MINISTRY
Sister Lea Nolle, Chair
Who we are:
Volunteers from congregation.
What we do:
Ministry is designed to educate members on the traditions of our
African American traditions and Cultural Heritage.
HIV CARE
Rev. Terrence K. Porter and First Lady Wilma Porter, Chairs
Who we are:
Those with a desire to compassionately address the needs of the segment of society affected and infected by HIV/AIDS. What we do:
The HIV/AIDS Care Ministry was established in 2007 as part of the Pilgrim Community Outreach Initiative. The Ministry is designed to explore the unique practical and spiritual needs of those living with HIV/AIDS. The Ministry will also provide congregational and community awareness of the pandemic of HIV/AIDS and its impact on the local community.
JUNIOR & SENIOR USHER MINISTRY
Bro. Bryant Blount, Chair
Who we are:
Congregational members who are able to attend meetings, abide by
rules and by laws set by the Usher Ministry.
What we do:
Welcome members & visitors so that they will feel loved in God’s
house, guide members/visitors to and from their seats through the
sanctuary in a reverent fashion. Must be aware of any needs of
Pastoral staff and congregation that may arise during service.
