ARMOR BEARER MINISTRY

Who we are:
Men of Pilgrim

What we do:
Provide security and practical support to the Pastor and First Family each Sunday and weeknight services.

BLACK HISTORY MINISTRY

Sister Jessica Magee, President

Who we are:
Members interested in “living, learning, and celebrating black history everyday.
What we do:
Educate members and the community through workshops, song, dance, programs, etc., on the struggles African Americans have endured to get where we are today, as well as the many contributions we have made to society.

CHERUB BOOK CLUB

Who we are:
Young students from Pilgrim & the Community Ages: 6-12
What we do:
Provide stimulating book discussion and small group encounters. Participants will be challenged to read from book list supplied by supplier.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Who we are:
Adult chaperones and children (Ages 4-12).
What we do:
Provide fellowships and special events for the children of the congregation.

CHURCH MUSIC COMMITTEE

Leadership By Committee

Who we are:
People with special interest, willingness and commitment. Usually all choir Presidents and Vice Presidents. What we do:
Provide vocal music for varied aspects of the worship experience and special occasions including holidays, funerals and special musical events such as concerts or community events. Music Ministry of Pilgrim includes the: Ensemble, Church Choir, Psalmist, Voices of Praise (formerly Young Adult Singers), Children's Choir and Men's Choir.

Who we are:
Volunteers of all ages.
What we do:
We are dancers that praise God through song and movement giving all glorification unto our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There are 3 praise dance groups divided by age. They are the Imani Dancers which are girls ages 3-11, Liturgical Dancers which are young ladies ages 11-18, and Seasoned Saints which are women age 35 and over. We give honor to God through praise dance.

What we do:
We support the academic and professional growth and development of our members and the surrounding communities. We offer financial assistance to students pursuing post secondary educational goals, funded by the Pilgrim Baptist Church Benevolence Fund and the Annual Pilgrim Golf Classic. We sponsor educational, occupational and cultural seminars and workshops. We offer computer literacy training and local community access to computer labs. We provide academic support through tutoring and homework labs.
